chrusty
Chrusty. Light as air pastry bow ties, which can be either savoury or sweet. (The secret – a splash of vodka!) It’s the fail-safe recipe of Lena Goldstein, the oldest grandmother in this project, who’s still baking aged 98… Lena’s also haring something she’s written -- her memories of a friend who didn’t survive the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, 74 years ago this month. “There is nobody alive who remembers his full name. Even I only know him by his first name: Heniek.”
